Not entirely sure of the wood species used, however it is an elegant piece which captures the intensity of the general and his servant in action. Slight fault with the piece is that it is missing the flag and sword which are inserted into the hands of both the servant and general. It also has a little chip on the edge of the servant's hat, but it is not overly noticeable.
